In 2020/21, the Community Integration Awards wants to recognise the inspirational ways in which diverse communities are coming together to support each other during the pandemic, often with little or no resources. In these unprecedented times, they are helping to meet needs and address inequalities.
This work isn’t simply a ‘bright spot’ in uncertain times; it is building critical resilience in communities that will face ongoing crisis in the years to come, both in terms of job losses, struggling businesses and people grieving the loss of their loved ones.
We want to recognise this amazing work but also kickstart an important national conversation about how we can value, support and sustain such precious community resources given the challenges ahead. Whatever our ‘new normal’ looks like, this issue needs to be at the heart of it.
We will be selecting categories that reflect emerging community responses. We want to recognise and support groups working on the issues that are the most important to local communities in the emergency response to COVID and the ongoing recovery and rebuilding processes.
If you are interested in sponsoring a category OR if you would like to come on board as a partner, we would love to discuss working with you.
Do you know of some amazing work happening in your local area involving diverse members of your community?
